The JCSUD Board of Directors met on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 4:30 PM.

The JCSUD Board of Directors is comprised of seven Board members elected to 3-year terms.  The Board of Directors administered the Oath of Office for new terms to returning directors Ronnie Nichols, Gene Petross, and Mike Bowles for a three-year term beginning February 2022 through January 2025.

The Board of Directors also conducted nominations and elections of JCSUD Board Officers.  The JCSUD Board of Directors elected Glen Walden as President, Harry Shaffer as Vice President, and Ronnie Nichols as Secretary/Treasurer.  The newly elected officers will serve one-year terms.

The Board of Directors heard from Dana Collier, Deputy GM – System Development and Operations, about JCSUD's projected Capital Improvement Projects.  The staff has been collaborating on an overall view of proposed Maintenance Capital Improvement Projects and Growth Projects, presenting themselves through field issues or hydraulic analyses for development review.  To better visualize the projects, the staff presented an overall pressure plane map depicting each project under review.  The JCSUD staff continues to align the project needs with the JCSUD 5-Year Water Master Plan.

Pete Kampfer, General Manager, reported that JCSUD is committed to creating a place to work for all our employees, recognizing the need for talent to deliver on our company mandate.  The talent acquisition approach uses a blend of internal purposeful mobility, external hiring, and work placement opportunities to enable JCSUD to build a workforce committed to providing service to the Johnson County area.  The Human Resources Department is very aggressive in hiring for several positions throughout the District.
