The District Board of Directors met on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 4:30 PM.
Joshua Howard, General Manager, updated the Board on current District projects, including the preliminary design of the Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant, growth-driven projects, project funding, policy review, legislative change proposals, proposed board workshop to discuss long-term supply options, and a new board member orientation.
Outgoing board members Gene Petross and Mike Bowles were recognized for their years of service to JCSUD. As of February 2025, Gene Petross and Mike Bowles have served on the JCSUD Board of Directors for over forty years combined, contributing significantly to the District's governance and development. They have seen the District grow from approximately 11,000 connections in the early 2000s to over 23,000 today. They were each presented with a water drop trophy commemorating their years of service to the District.
Gary Giesen and Craig Cheyne were administered the Oath of Office for a three-year Board of Directors term beginning February 2025 through February 2028. The Board also conducted nominations and elections of JCSUD Board Officers, with Glen Walden elected as President, Joe Hollarn as Vice President, and Ronnie Nichols as Secretary/Treasurer. The newly elected officers will serve one-year terms.
JCSUD employee Rolonda Hopkins received her three-year service appreciation windmill pin.
