Johnson County Special Utility District (JCSUD) is located primarily in Johnson County, Texas, but also extends into Hill, Tarrant, and Ellis Counties, covering approximately 324 square miles.
JCSUD’s Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) No. 10081 (water) and CCN No. 20713 (sewer) were issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. A CCN grants a retail public utility the exclusive right to provide retail water or sewer utility service to a specified geographic area. JCSUD’s CCN is within portions of the city limits and extraterritorial jurisdictions of the Cities of Alvarado, Burleson, Cleburne, Fort Worth, Godley, Joshua, Keene, Mansfield, and Rio Vista.
A CCN is different than a District Boundary, which is a geographic area that defines a political subdivision's territorial jurisdiction (electoral district area).
